The core of OT management is the schedule: a theatre, a surgeon, an anaesthetist and a slot, none of them double-booked. Uyirly schedules cases against theatre and team availability so two surgeries never land on the same table at the same time, and the day’s OT list is clear to everyone who needs it. That alone removes the most common source of theatre chaos.

A theatre cannot be double-booked

Two cases scheduled into one room at overlapping times is the failure this module exists to prevent, and it is prevented in the database rather than in the screen — the overlap is rejected outright, so it cannot slip through a second browser tab or a race between two schedulers. What Uyirly does not yet have is a structured pre-operative safety checklist — consent, fasting, investigations and site marking as confirmed fields on the case. If a WHO-style surgical safety checklist is a requirement for you, say so early; today those confirmations live in the case notes.

Consumables and OT notes captured in place

What’s used in theatre and what happened during surgery both need to be recorded — for the bill and for the record. Uyirly captures consumables and implants used in the case (so they reach the bill) and the OT / operative notes (so they join the patient’s history), instead of these being written on a slip and re-entered later.

Connected to admission and billing

A surgery doesn’t stand alone — it’s part of an admission, with a bed, medicines and a bill. Because OT sits inside the wider system, the case links to the patient’s admission, the consumables and procedure charges post to the same IPD bill, and the whole stay stays coherent from admission to discharge.
